For BiSAC, community engagement means connecting diverse groups. While we primarily support Bangladeshi international students, we also reach out to local Bangladeshi-heritage communities—those born and raised here. We organize events like student galas, where international and local students collaborate. Additionally, we engage in broader community activities. For example, when Dlaminiya Haque was elected as a councilwoman for Buena Park, we congratulated her and participated in local initiatives. We also celebrate personal milestones within our community, like attending celebrations when an elder brother purchases a new home. Whether it’s through civic recognition or community events, BiSAC actively engages to foster unity and celebrate shared experiences.
